Our History
Pine Bluff Baptist Church has rich history as it was newly constituted in 1840.
The church building burned down in 1916, and was left desolate for many years. In March of 1961 the church building was rebuilt and Pine Bluff Baptist Church had its first service at the end of March of 1961 with Br. William Veale as their pastor. Since then, the church has had many wonderful pastors such as: Br. Wallace Little, Br. Bruce Smith, Br. Keith Smith, and the current pastor, Pastor Rick Owens.
The church’s history runs deep with many blessings and hardships, but through the years the people of Pine Bluff Baptist Church have persevered for the cause of Christ. Pine Bluff Baptist Church looks to nourish believers in God’s Word, reach a lost and dying world for Christ, and train a next generation of people to live for and serve the Lord. The people of Pine Bluff look beyond the country as they put together John and Romans to be sent all around the world.
